The Lazlo Legacy—River 3.1

Hello, and welcome back to the Lazlo Legacy. This week we are visiting the lot of River Lazlo.

Because of the lag I have been experiencing when playing the game, I moved River and the Piddy family to a new house…

in Bridgeport! Yes, I’m going to be splitting up the Lazlo family and moving them to various hoods, both EA and custom made. River and Leaf will be residing in Bridgeport. Hope and Barry will be moving to Appaloosa Plains, while Charity and Michael head to Hidden Springs, and Love and Courage relocate to Twinbrook. I’m not sure where everyone else is going yet. Trust will remain in Harmony for as long as I can handle the lag.

The first order of business in the new town is aging up River’s girlfriend, Lil’.

I really like how she turned out, though later on you will see that I changed her hairstyle. I love her wedding outfit, so I hope River pops the question soon.

Lil’s lifetime wish is to be a Fashion Phenomenon which means she wants to top the Stylist career. I had said that I wasn’t going to let the Gen 3 spouses lifetime wishes count towards the Completion Challenge. However, Lil’ does not have any skills, so she has not been given an unfair advantage by Story Progression. I also have really been dreading the Stylist profession, so I don’t want to have to do it more than once. Therefore, Lil’ will be allowed to accrue me points toward the challenge.

I sent Lil’ to the salon to get a job. She works from 9 to 7 Tuesday through Saturday. I checked the Prima guide and the schedule stays the same for all ten levels. This is even more reason for me to hate this career. I know some players really enjoy making sims and building and decorating houses, but I am not one of those players. That’s why I love the pre-mades. I get the most fun from watching the Sims interact with each other. Not to mention the fact that my mom tells me all my taste is in my mouth.

While Lil’ was getting a job, River, Ladonna and D. were at the park holding a jam session.

The jam session earns River his first Celebrity star.

Later on, the rest of the family joins in. I think this is the largest number of Sims I’ve had jam together. River is on electric guitar. Lil’ and her dad D. are on acoustic guitar. Lil’s mom Ladonna,plays the piano. Her sister Marlana plays bass, and her brother Lyle plays drums.

The next day is Lil’s graduation day.

Aww…River looks so proud of his lady love.

Her family looks proud as well.

I wouldn’t count on that, unless Lil’ becomes the personal stylist of Emmy Starr or Matthew Hamming.

Ladonna had an opportunity that required her to dance for three hours at one of the clubs. Ladonna is rocking that yellow dress. I’m jealous! I really like Ladonna and D. I’m going to have to go back and play them in Los Aniegos sometime.

River also had a club-related opportunity. He had to go have a drink at a lounge. That mixologist, Ricky Bailey, has interesting looks. He doesn’t appear to be Face 1. I may need to save him in CAS to be a potential Lazlo spouse down the line.

The next day, River’s potential spouse began her first official shift as a Stylist. Her first customer was none other than her boyfriend’s mom. I did place River’s parents and siblings in Bridgeport, but they are only intended to be “copies” that I could invite to family gatherings. The official versions of these Sims (i.e. the ones that will be blogged about) still live in Harmony. Let’s pretend Tracey is on vacation to Bridgeport and getting a salon treatment.

LOL! All I need is a purse for Fortune to hold  to complete this scene.

Lil’ gave Tracey a new athletic outfit, which Tracey liked.

All Lil’ had was her cell phone so the picture did not come out that great. I sent Ladonna to the Consignment shop, and she found a camera there. I moved the camera to Lil’s inventory.

I realized none of my Sims had actually ever bought anything from the ice cream truck, so River bought a Freezer Bunny popsicle.

The next day, Summer’s boyfriend Randell came by the salon for a dye job. I really didn’t want to change his hair color because I think he’s perfect the way he is.

Lil’ dyed it red, but Randell was not impressed.

Neither am I. Randell is definitely meant to have black hair. Thank goodness this is just a copy, and not the real Randell.

Summer came by for a new lingerie outfit. Here’s our first look at some Master Suite Stuff content.

Summer loves it, and I do too. I’m going to have to give the real summer this makeover.

It was nice of the Lazlos to help Lil’ get feet wet, but it’s about time some actual Bridgeport residents stopped by. I love, love, love this hair on Lenny Shutter. It makes him look less sleazy than that ponytail he had.

I am not a fan of Kai Leiko. I have no idea what Lola Belle sees in him, so I slapped these silly undies on him. Kai was Lil’s last customer of the day.

I remember reading somewhere that deer don’t spawn in Bridgeport, but the minor pets still do. River was playing guitar and this bird was squawking, so it looks like he’s singing with the music.

I can’t ever resist of shot of siblings sitting together. Marlana has the lifetime wish to have a Private Museum. I think Lil’ is telling her to get over her dreams of traveling. It’s not going to happen as long as she’s a spare.

I did some reading up on the Stylist career in the Prima Guide and found out that Stylists can also build up their portfolio by creating sketches on the drafting table. I had Lil’ sketch while she was in between customers.

Matty Crewe stopped in for a revenge wardrobe.

No, seriously, it is  called a revenge wardrobe. Personally, I think he wanted revenge because Suzy Strummer up and married some other dude.

I think Matty’s new look is still in keeping with the nature of his character. I have a real-life friend who bears a bit of a resemblance to Matty.

Matty’s wardrobe also earned Lil’ a promotion!

Marina Prattle hated her new outfit and dye job. I was only trying to make her look less slutty soften her look.

Alexis Albright hated her new outfit too. Awww…. I really think it’s cute. I  Lil’ felt horrible for making a little kid cry.

At least Matilda Smart think she’s hot in her new nightie. It may be hard to see, but she also has an eye mask.

Summer! Does your mother know you’re getting a tattoo?

After a frustrating day, Lil’ just needs to cuddle in the hot tub with her man. Neither one of them has rolled the wish to get engaged yet.

Later in the week, vampiress Jessica Talon shows up wanting new shoes. I actually like Jessica’s shoes and don’t want to the change them, but who am I to argue with a vampire?

Lil’ earns more promotions and also earns the ability to solicit clients by showing them her portfolio.

Ace, you absolutely require Lil’s services, but it’s your call, man.

Finally, at the end of the week, Marlana celebrates her young adult birthday.

She has no shot at fulfilling her lifetime wish, but I still give her a traveler look.

I think she turned out rather nicely.
