The Lazlo Legacy 2.4

Last week, Adaeze Min-Lazlo reached the age of 200 and the death watch began.

Adaeze senses she is near the end, so she spends the week painting portraits of her grandchildren. She captures Guardian reading a book...

...and Harmony  resting in her crib.

Guardian's birthday proves to be more evidence of time moving on.

Guardian is now a child, and adds Family-Oriented to his list of traits. Since he's the heir, that's good news.

Time is moving on outside the Lazlo home as well. Fortune runs into his father-in-law, Jared Frio, at the park. Jared, who began the game as a young adult, is now an elder.

Tamara Donner and Cycl0n3 Sw0rd have also entered their twilight years, though they are still young at heart.

Even Mortimer Goth has aged into a Mature Adult.

Despite all this evidence of change, the family is surprised when Harmony's birthday arrives.

The little babe is now an adorable toddler.

Fortune's and Tracey's genes sure do mix well!

Right away, Tracey starts teaching Harmony her toddling skills.

Meanwhile, Fortune helps Guardian with his homework.

Unfortunately, elementary school was a long time ago for Fortune, so he is baffled by the assignment.

Adaeze loves her grandson, but she is concerned about him because she has observed some odd behavior. For example, he insists on sleeping in his tuxedo. Since he is doing well in school, Fortune and Tracey overlook his unusual wardrobe choices.

Adaeze is also worried about her own children. Faith is sill working as a professional painter. She has maxed out her painting skill, but since she works from home, she doesn't bother getting dressed most days. Adaeze knows that Faith preferred being indoors since she was a child, but Adaeze worries that Faith isolates herself too much. Fortune was always the loner, but even he managed to get married and have a family. That nice Russell boy still comes around to visit Faith, so Adaeze holds her tongue.

The other day, Chance showed Adaeze his new llama tattoo. Though Adaeze believes tattoos defile the body, if that's her biggest concern about Chance, she'll take it.

Adaeze knows she is worrying for nothing, her family will be fine, and perhaps deep down she is resentful because she knows they will be fine. It's not that she wants them to fall apart at her passing, but she does want to be missed. So reluctantly, on day 207 of her life, Adaeze gives up the ghost.

The last person she sees before passing is her dear husband Justice. She pleads with the Grim Reaper, not for herself, but for him. She begs that Justice will live as long and as happily as she did, and that when his time comes, he will also have a loved one by his side.

The last image she sees before crossing over into immortality is the brokenness of her beloved.

Justice has lost his wife, his lover, his sparring partner, and his best friend. What is he going to do now?

Well, Faith knows what she's going to do...

She's going to cry on Mason's shoulder.

And then she's going to propose to him.

And then she's going to marry him.

And then she's going to have babies with him..

...as soon as her brother Chance moves out!

Adaeze Min-Lazlo passed away at the age of 207 days. She is survived by her husband, Justice Lazlo; her three children, Faith Lazlo-Russell, Fortune Lazlo, and Chance Lazlo; her daughter-in-law, Tracey Ursine-Lazlo; her son-in-law, Mason Russell; and two grandchildren,
Guardian Lazlo and Harmony Lazlo.
