The Lazlo Legacy 2.3

Warning: This post is littered with cute toddler pic spam!
Last week (ok, it was really two weeks ago. I've been on vacation. Sue me.) our Generation 3 heir, Guardian Lazlo, aged up to toddler.
And here's the little darling now, working on his logic skill.
Meanwhile, Uncle Chance has reached level 10 of the Athletic Skill. He still needs to complete the Body Builder challenge before he can consider the Athletic skill mastered.
Rosa Jorgenson is the Lazlos' new maid. I like her genetics, especially her violet eyes. Unfortunately, the age gap between her and Guardian is too big.
Doreen comes home from work with good news. She has been promoted to level 9 of the Science career, fulfilling her lifetime wish of becoming a Creature-Robot Cross Breeder.
All that work has tuckered Doreen out, but she's not able to rest yet. As much as I would love to keep Doreen around long enough for her to create her own robot, I need the space for Fortune and Tracey's next child. So, I boot (pun intended) Doreen out of the house to fend for herself in Sunset Valley. I’ll miss you Doreen. You were entertaining and livened things up.
Tracey and Fortune immediately take advantage of Doreen's vacancy. Baby #2 is on the way!
And baby #1 is learning his potty skill.
Fortune has been promoted to Patrol Officer and will soon be able to specialize in the Forensics track.
Faith is also making progress. She has reached level 10 of the writing skill, so half of her lifetime wish to become an Illustrious Author has been fulfilled. She'll now focus on Painting because I want her to master the skill and get to the top of the Painter career.
We interrupt this update with more Guardian pics. Not enough?
Well, how about this?
Mr. Demille, he's ready for his closeup. Guardian is by far the cutest Sims 3 toddler I've seen. Ok, let's get back to the rest of the family.
Fortune needs to write reports in order to move up the ranks. His first interviewee turns out to be his mother-in-law, Claire Ursine. Let's hope she's not pressing charges against Adaeze!
While he hopes his uniform scored some points with Claire, he doesn't have time to make small talk with her. He has to get home for his father's birthday..
If I wasn't playing the Long lifespan, I would say that it's hard for me to believe Justice is an elder. But since he completed his lifetime wish, maxed the Martial Arts skill, and got to the top of Military career ages ago, he hasn't had much to do. And if he lives as long as Adaeze has, he's going to be around for at least another Sim month. Speaking of Adaeze, she's over 200 days old and still kicking!
Fortune didn't get to stay long enough to get a piece of cake because Tracey went into labor.
Once again, the mother-to-be is left to drive herself to hospital. Since she is driving a police car, it would have been cool if the she could have turned on the lights and siren.
It's a girl! Welcome, Harmony Lazlo! Harmony is Eccentric and Loves the Outdoors. Perhaps, she will be my Inventor. Like her grandmother and aunt, Harmony loves Indie music. She also prefers fruit parfait and the color lime green.
A birth isn't complete without the taxi trip home shot.
It's late when Fortune, Tracey, and Harmony get back, so Justice and Adaeze will have to meet their first granddaughter in the morning.
Surprisingly, Chance gets up to give Harmony her morning bottle. For someone who dislikes children, Chance sure is a doting uncle.
And while, we're on the subject of Chance, check out this gorgeous portrait of him that Adaeze painted. I think this is the best portrait to date.
Tracey is a good mom. She often plays with Guardian autonomously.
This picture shows their family resemblance. Guardian has Tracey's hair and eyes, but he has Fortune's coloring.
Tracey had a wish to have a picnic in the park. We spotted this girl (I think her last name is Milam) selling baked goods.I know that table came with Ambitions, but I didn't know neighbors would autonomously hawk their goods. Nice job, EAxis! This is one more aspect that makes the neighborhood feel alive.
Having a picnic is such simple thing, but again, it adds depth to the game. You purchase the picnic basket from Buy mode, then make sure it's in your inventory when you go to the park. Once you're there, click on it (can't remember the name of the option), and your Sim will spread a blanket and sit down.
Toddlers can't eat from the picnic basket, so I had Tracey feed Guardian a bottle.
Of course, we have to end this entry with one more cute Guardian pic. This photo also points out a bad parenting moment. Not only did Tracey and Fortune forget to pick up the picnic basket when they left the park, they also forgot to pick up Guardian! Luckily, a kind neighbor returned him home.
