There aren't many pictures from Week 4 in the Lazlo house, because Justice concentrated on helping Faith, Fortune, and Chance learn their toddler skills.
Justice did manage to break his 150th board to fulfill the Board Breaker skill challenge. Now, he just needs to meditate for 150 hours and participate in 75 sparring matches to have completely mastered the Martial Arts skill.
I learned a long time ago from Catherine's blog [Edited 12/29/2011: Blog is no longer available.] that toddlers can gain painting, writing, and logic from reading certain books. (Just peruse the titles at the library or bookstore, and you should be able to figure it out.) The Jimmy Sprocket books are just for fun.
I'm really impressed with the Lazlo children because they naturally gravitate towards the books. I have to force them to play with the activity table.
The family that skills together...er, chills together. Sorry, the thesaurus was no help.
Here is Adaeze's first attempt at a still life painting. This is Faith playing at the activity table.
This is a milestone because Justice is teaching Chance the final toddler skill. The brunt of toddler training fell on Justice's shoulders because Adaeze focused on painting. She needs to get up to Level 7 to be able to paint a portrait. I know still life paintings also count but I had a hard time getting Justice to stay still when trying to paint him as a still life.
Anyway, at this point Faith, Fortune, and Chance have all learned to walk, talk, and potty. They have also learned all they can learn in Guitar and Handiness. Once they each read the nine toddler skill books, they will be ready to age to child.
This is the first sit-down meal that Justice and Adaeze have enjoyed together in ages. I feel bad for them. They are still very much in love and they each roll wants to be romantic with the other, but three toddlers and two full-time jobs keep them apart. I'm really looking forward to the children aging up and becoming more independent.
The good news is that one of the Lazlo children will be getting her independence very soon.
Yes, it's Faith birthday. And, look, Miss Sourpuss is actually smiling.
It's Faith's birthday, but Mommy and Daddy are getting the best gift -- a new bed. Hopefully, they will have more energy during the day.
And here is Faith as a child. She aged up randomly into this custom hairstyle, and I think it suits her. As you can see, the smile is gone. I'm not sure what Adaeze is looking surprised about. Well, I was hoping Faith would roll a nice trait to balance out Grumpy and Hates the Outdoors. She got...Kleptomaniac. *headdesk* Thank goodness this is a Patriarchy. All I need is Evil and Mean-Spirited now. Maybe she's a candidate to replace Mrs. Crumplebottom.
Oh, well, that's all for this week in the Lazlo household. See you next week.

I love Faith's hair! Usually my game gives the boys girl hair and it gives the girls really ugly hair whenever I age them up. It's so annoying. I'm glad their house is improving!
ReplyDeleteMy playables usually get decent hair, but the townies often get the most ridiculous hairstyles and outfits. My game really seems to like putting the jester hat on them.
